This morning was good, I started out thinking I would buy some essentials from electronics store, the grocery store, a pair of shades, and the chest strap missing from my large backpack. The first two were easy, the last two I figured would be much harder. Matter of fact, I figured the last two weren't going to happen today - so I focused on getting the first two done and then wandering farther west to the huge Vigeland Sculpture Park and read a book and get lost in the art.
Apparently the Norwegians want an 80s band to go around knocking women off of bikes as these signs were everywhere. Shame on you Norwegians, shame on you.
Instead, on a quest for breakfast, I turned left to where a small pizza joint was supposed to be. I couldn't find it so I figured if I kept walking down - I would hit it. Once I was 1/2 to downtown I figured "screw it" and decided to just get my chores done. So I found everything. I also booked my train to Gothenburg, got a seven day bus/tram pass, and took the last tour with the hop on/off bus.
The guided tour of the bus soundtrack was off kilter with where we were - so it was kind of useless, but it gave me a definite idea on where I would like to hit in Oslo. There is a Kon-Tiki museum that I must hit and get Angi/Jamie something from. I have no idea why its there next to the Viking ships and maritime museum, but there yah go. I will have to find this out and get back to you all.
Apparently Vikings were very fond of Tiki bars.
I now have everything I need to start hitting where all the cool kids go. So now I'm off for a pint and a meal.
